"What we do during our working hours determines what we have; what we do in our leisure hours determines what we are."
George Eastman - Developer of Kodak camera
My
earliest experience into the magical world of photography was as
a little boy, I remember getting my first camera and waiting
for days to get the images back and seeing the magic in a photograph
that I had taken. Years on I still get excited by the magic of
taking photographs; they can excite, flatter, bring on emotions
and of course evoke memories of what that particular image means
to an individual. Like many things in life, if you develop a
love and passion for something, by putting time, effort and
energy, only then you will be rewarded many times over.
I
am now a semi-professional photographer as a Canon Professional
Services (CPS) Member and a contributor to Alamy a leading rights managed stock photography library for photographic images, however, the acquisition of artistic
skills in making images has been a long road of self-awareness
and discovery.
Based
in the United Kingdom, I have a passion for travel photography
particularly in the United States of America. Travel and photography
form a perfect and complimentary partnership - documenting the
diverse cultures, people and landscapes our world has to offer.
I have decided not to specialise in a certain type of photography
and am happy to capture an image that pleases me or a client,
recently I have embarked on portrait photography and have invested
in a fully equipped studio. In doing so, I have developed new
skills and become proficient in what has always proved to be
a technically challenging subject.
I
have fully embraced the concept of digital imaging without any
reservations and amazed at the results from this technology in
terms of quality, creativity, control and its immediacy.
My
passion will always be to explore new places, capture the smile
from a subject and to push the boundaries of my imagination.
